Spring Break

We're home and sort of back to normal, although with two weeks of being with grandparents, we're really having to "detox" the girls from getting everything they want and not being told "no." But we'll take the consequences of that anytime if it means Florida sun and a few kid-free days!

We started the week before the official Spring Break in Palm Beach with Glammy and Papaw. Apparently we lucked out because all we heard on the elevators was that it was the first nice weather week they had had all season. We enjoyed spending time outside in the beautiful sunshine, playing on the beach (not Mags!), and swimming in the pool. Plus, Glammy and Papaw's condo is so great and it was awesome to wake up to ocean waves each morning!

We flew home on the 13th and were home long enough to do laundry and repack to head to Mimi and PopPop's for the week. Ryan stayed home to catch up on work so the girls and I drove down on Monday and I drove home alone on Wednesday. The plan was that Ryan and I were going to be driving back and forth to OKC for March Madness (for those of you who were unaware...Kansas was the top seed #1 but sadly lost in the second round...and that's enough about that!). We ditched our original plan and had a few days to ourselves to just enjoy being in our quiet house. We did have to endure a spring snowstorm on Saturday, but it was the perfect excuse to stay in and be lazy. From what I've heard, the girls had fun playing with Kamryn and Elizabeth and even made a trip to the Dallas Aquarium. What I've heard from Kate about the aquarium is that there was a "granddaddy crocodile" and "lots of sharks."

Both girls head back to school tomorrow and are excited to see their teachers and friends. I'm just excited that the weather is warming up and we're, hopefully, beyond our really cold winter!

What We've Been Up To

We've been busy with school, rooting for the Jayhawks, enjoying the nice weather, and playing with our friends these last few weeks. Most importantly though, we're getting ready to go to Florida tomorrow to play with Glammy and Papaw. We'll take lots of pictures and share our fun with you when we get home next weekend. Have a good week!
